Welcome to Laguna Madre Charters, where every trip is led by a lifelong local who knows
and loves this stretch of the Texas coast. I’m Captain Ethan Perez — a licensed OUPV
Captain, conservation-minded outdoorsman, and someone who believes that a great hunt or tour
should be both safe and unforgettable.
With over a decade of experience leading South Texas duck hunts and boat charters in the South Padre Island area, I offer small-group adventures
that highlight what makes the Lower Laguna Madre so special. Whether you’re chasing redheads
at sunrise or cruising into a sunset with dolphins nearby, my goal is to make sure you leave with
great memories — and a few stories to tell.
Safety always comes first. Each trip includes a location-specific safety plan, and I’m certified in
First Aid, CPR, and BCLS, trained to handle emergencies calmly and effectively.
I started Laguna Madre Charters because this is what I love. I care deeply about this area — not
